Multi-Disciplinary Designer

Markita “Ki” Miler

Most people know her as a Technical Shoe designer. But Markita is also a Design Educator who dabbles in Interior design and space curation.

Markita creates with a cool, confident ease; finding inspiration just about anywhere. Her first love is shoe design and her creative path has led her to design for many well-known brands such as Madden Girl, Ralph Lauren, Jessica Simpson, Vince Camuto, Marvel, and Nickelodeon Licensing; to name a few.

Along her design journey, she pivoted into education working with students in underserved and marginalized communities in NYC. Here, she discovered a softer, more empathic side of herself that she did not know existed and she didn’t know she needed. It was here that she learned how to listen and connect with others. Markita is passionate about esteeming and gearing up the next generation of creatives; especially students of color.

She also paints murals, builds props, and curates hallways for NYC and Maryland Public schools.
